Who we needReporting to the Accounting Manager, we are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support accounts payable operations across multiple sites, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting efficient financial operations.

Who you areYou are highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. You may have experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a similar administrative finance role where accuracy and responsiveness were essential. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, following established processes, and maintaining professionalism while working with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
You take pride in producing accurate work, staying organized, and ensuring commitments are met on time. You are proactive in identifying discrepancies, following up on outstanding items, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations within the accounting function.

- Support financial operations. You will monitor vendor statements, reconcile accrued receipts, support month-end close activities, and help ensure all transactions are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate and resolve. You will partner with internal departments and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, receiving issues, and payment concerns while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness.
- Improve processes. You will proactively identify discrepancies, escalate unresolved issues appropriately, and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement within accounts payable and accounting operations.
- The accounting foundation. You have experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or a related finance role. You understand the importance of accuracy, organization, and timely processing in supporting business operations. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
