Job Overview – Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager Compensation: $120,000 – $165,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager in Delaware County, PA for our client, supporting technical accounting, SEC reporting, and external financial reporting initiatives within a publicly traded corporate environment. This role will partner with finance and business teams to support external reporting, accounting analysis, disclosure preparation, and reporting process improvements within a dynamic corporate environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, technically strong, and experienced within public accounting, technical accounting, or SEC reporting environments.
Responsibilitiesas the Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager:
- Technical Accounting: Research and analyze complex accounting matters, U.S. GAAP guidance, and SEC reporting requirements.
- SEC Reporting: Support preparation and review of SEC filings, external financial statements, and related footnote disclosures.
- Disclosure Management: Draft and maintain external disclosures, accounting policies, and reporting documentation.
- Financial Reporting Support: Assist with quarter-end and year-end reporting activities, financial analyses, and close support processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with controllership, investor relations, finance, sustainability, and external auditors on reporting and disclosure initiatives.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Support SOX controls, reporting process enhancements, and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Certifications: CPA designation is required.
- Experience: 6+ years of public accounting, technical accounting, SEC reporting, or related accounting experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, external reporting processes, and accounting research is required.

Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, while experience with SEC reporting and financial reporting platforms is preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, research abilities, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a deadline-driven environment are required.
