Job Overview – International Tax Accounting Director
Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000/year + bonus
Location:
Delaware County, PA
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a International Tax Accounting Director in Delaware County, PA for our client, supporting global income tax accounting, ASC 740 reporting, and tax provision activities within a publicly traded corporate environment. This hybrid role will oversee quarterly and annual tax provision processes, SEC reporting support, tax forecasting, and technical tax accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate is technically strong, process-oriented, and experienced managing complex income tax accounting and reporting activities within multinational organizations.
Responsibilitiesas the International Tax Accounting Director
- Tax Accounting & Reporting: Lead global income tax accounting, ASC 740 reporting, quarterly tax provisions, and annual tax reporting processes.
- SEC Reporting Support: Prepare and review tax disclosures, supporting schedules, and reporting documentation for SEC filings and financial statements.
- Forecasting & Analysis: Manage effective tax rate forecasting, deferred tax analysis, uncertain tax positions, and cash tax forecasting activities.
- Technical Tax Accounting: Research and apply tax accounting guidance related to complex transactions, regulatory updates, and business initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop tax accounting staff while coordinating deliverables across global tax and finance teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with controllership, FP&A, treasury, compliance, auditors, and operational teams on reporting and tax accounting initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required, while an advanced tax degree is preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of income tax accounting, ASC 740, tax provision, or corporate tax reporting experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of ASC 740, SEC reporting, multinational tax accounting, deferred taxes, and international tax concepts is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Experience with tax provision systems such as One Source and strong proficiency with financial reporting systems and Excel is preferred. - Certifications: CPA and/or JD designation is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex reporting processes within a deadline-driven environment are required.
