Senior Cost Accountant

• Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Perform month-end cost accounting close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, including labor, material, purchase price, usage, and overhead, and present findings to leadership.
• Prepare inventory valuations and reconcile inventory balances to the general ledger.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams to improve cost controls and manufacturing efficiency.
• Assist with annual standard cost updates and physical inventory counts.
• Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate costing within Oracle ERP.
• Develop cost models and profitability analyses for new and existing products.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards highlighting key cost drivers and business trends.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support internal and external audits related to inventory and manufacturing accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on Oracle ERP experience is required (Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud ERP, or Oracle Fusion).
• Strong knowledge of:

• Variance Analysis
• Month-End Close
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across operations, production, and supply chain.
