Responsibilities- Assist the administrative assistant in overseeing the operations of the Park Office.
- Manage financial transactions from various sources, such as boat permits, camping fees, concession payments, and pool user fees, ensuring all funds are accurately accounted for.
- Use the computerized reservation system to handle camping site bookings, including making, canceling, and modifying reservations, and produce reports and signage for visitors.
- Keep detailed records of revenue and reservations for camping, mooring, and pavilions.
- Prepare and submit reports to Harrisburg for Frances Slocum State Park, including monthly equipment and volunteer records, and ensure accuracy of automotive reports by checking mileage and fuel usage.
- Respond to public inquiries about the park and provide information through various means as directed.
- Perform receptionist tasks: welcome visitors, offer general park information, and manage phone calls.
- Organize and maintain office files according to established guidelines, ensuring outdated materials are purged and older files stored properly.
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026, with the employee placed on leave without pay after the season and returned to employment approximately March 2027.
- Days/shifts will vary; they will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends.
