This role supports the full purchasing process for essential goods and services that keep the facility operating. You will handle detailed procurement tasks and work with vendors, staff, and purchasing systems.
Duties include:
- Procurement Preparation:
Review purchase requests and prepare documents for goods, services, and vendor contracts - Vendor Coordination:
Contact vendors to obtain price quotes, place orders, and track shipments - Document Verification:
Check procurement forms, bids, and supporting materials for completeness and accuracy - Record Maintenance:
Maintain organized files with purchase requests, quotes, and required documentation - Contract Support:
Provide staff with current information on state contracts for needed items - Bid Processing:
Prepare invitations for bid proposals, identify vendors, and review results to award purchases
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours:
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch; may change based on operational needs - Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in purchasing involving contact with vendors for procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, or services; or
- Three years of experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of goods; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training. Post-high school education may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis for purchasing or stores experience to a maximum of two years.
- You must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports (PA State Police and FBI clearance).
