Legal Support Specialist

Full-time, onsite Monday-Friday Salary: $24.56–$29.65 per hour, commensurate with experience
We are seeking an experienced Legal Support Specialist to support the U.S. Attorney's Office, Middle District of Pennsylvania (USAO PAM), in Scranton, PA. Your scope of work will support the fact witness management process before, during, and after trials, hearings, pretrial conferences, and grand jury proceedings. This is a full-time opportunity in which we'll provide competitive pay, job stability, and security.

- At least one year of clerical, office, or administrative support experience
- Experience and expertise performing the services required for the position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in word processing, document creation and management, business administration, and data entry
- Ability to communicate professionally with witnesses, attorneys, Government personnel, and members of the public
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Valid state driver's license
- Must live within the general commuting radius of the USAO office
- Must be capable of successfully completing the required background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Undergraduate degree preferred

- Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

Other Considerations. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual's primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 100% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.
Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 100% of the time.
