The Visual Design Associate plays a pivotal role in enhancing the publication of audio books by creating quality assets derived from original book cover artwork. This position involves collecting cover designs, expertly resizing and refining artwork, employing photo retouching skills tailored specifically for audiobook product images. Strong expertise in Photoshop tools, techniques, and filters for seamless photo compositing and art extension is required.

The ideal candidate possesses a discerning eye for design principles such as proportion, scale, hierarchy, alignment, and contrast. Attention to detail is paramount, ensuring fidelity to the original design intent while delivering production‑ready assets with meticulous precision. Managing multiple projects, adapting swiftly to urgent artwork requests, and adeptly communicating with key stakeholders are integral aspects of this role. Close collaboration with a coordinator is essential to prioritize tasks and ensure the timely delivery of high‑quality assets in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, self‑directed, enthusiastic and work well under pressure, thriving in a deadline‑driven atmosphere. They must have a strong sense of aesthetics and be able to conceptualize stylish, elevated ideas. In addition, they should have the ability to deliver clean, web‑ready designs based on existing style guides and brand guidelines in a fast‑paced production environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, digital expertise, intrinsic design abilities, typographic skills, and acute attention to detail.

The ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with key stakeholders is essential. An online portfolio of work is REQUIRED.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to create innovative, multi‑platform ad campaigns using Photoshop, Illustrator, and AI‑powered generative tools such as Adobe Firefly for rapid ideation, asset generation, and creative exploration
  • Leverage AI design agents and automation tools (e.g., Figma AI plugins, generative fill, text‑to‑image workflows) to accelerate production timelines and scale creative output
  • Collaborate with the Amazon design community at large to ensure consistent brand use across multiple marketing channels
  • Follow editing SOP to spot/catch errors in the content
  • Quickly understand operation workflow tools
  • Often contact stakeholders globally to provide status reports, communicate relevant information and escalate when needed
  • Individual contributor role
  • Acute attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor
  • Partner with design leadership and product management partners to consistently deliver high‑quality creative that meets placement specs
  • Deliver clean, web‑ready designs based on existing style guides and brand guidelines in a fast‑paced production environment
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Figma and the Adobe CS suite: XD, Photoshop, Illustrator. InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere and After Effects
