Job Summary

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will lead the design of user experiences and interfaces for innovative healthcare solutions at Solventum, a company dedicated to improving lives through breakthrough technologies. You will work independently on multiple projects, partnering with cross‑functional teams to translate business strategies into compelling design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end design projects from strategy and research through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and deliver design insights and solutions that enhance product usability and brand experience.
  • Collaborate across disciplines—including product management, engineering, and marketing—to co‑author design briefs and translate requirements into actionable design objectives.
  • Produce high‑quality UX/UI deliverables (wireframes, prototypes, visual designs) that meet strategic objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct and interpret user research, usability testing, and market trend analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Mentor and coach junior designers, providing guidance on best practices and design standards.
  • Maintain brand and accessibility guidelines, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, presenting concepts and influencing stakeholders with clear rationale.
  • Stay curious and innovative, exploring new tools, methods, and trends to elevate design quality.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related field and four (4) years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries. OR High School Diploma/GED and eleven (10) years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms.
  • Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.
Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Curiosity and practical experience using AI tools to support research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, workflow analysis, and design documentation, with the ability to thoughtfully identify AI‑assisted product opportunities that improve usability, reduce complexity, and maintain user trust.
Location and Travel

Remote work. Travel may include up to 10% domestic travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B).

Compensation and Benefits

Expected compensation range: $107,600 – $147,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible. Eligible for a range of benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and Retirement Benefits.

Onboarding

New employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on‑site onboarding during the initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company.
