The University of Scranton Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in organic chemistry beginning in Fall 2026.

Essential Duties

The department offers ACS certified BS degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry, a BS in Forensic Chemistry, and MS degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Clinical Chemistry. The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in organic chemistry as well as introductory chemistry courses (9-12 credits per fall and spring semesters). The successful applicant will also be expected to develop a research program involving students.
