Responsibilities- Provide instructional support and manage classroom/building activities as assigned by building needs (e.g., IMC, ESL, Special Education, Cafe/Playground Security Monitor, Physical Education).
- Assist teachers and staff to implement educational programs.
- Foster a supportive environment for all students, including those with cognitive, physical, or behavioral disabilities.
- Interact with students and staff in an engaging and collaborative manner.
- High school diploma required; associate’s degree or higher preferred, or the ability to pass a highly-qualified assessment.
- Experience working with school-aged children, including those with disabilities or learning language barriers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students from diverse cultures.
- Fluency in English required; multilingual ability is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, stretch, lift up to 50 pounds, and meet hearing/vision requirements.
- Commitment to 20 hours of annual training to maintain Highly Qualified Status.
- Criminal Record Check (under 1 year old)
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (under 1 year old)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (under 1 year old)
- TB Test/Mantoux (under 3 months old)
- Physical exam (if applicable, under 1 year old)
