You will support parents and caregivers to confidently run sessions, model Playcentre philosophy, and enhance children’s learning, while fostering a strong whānau‑led culture by building members’ knowledge, confidence, and leadership.
You Will Also Have- Passion for Playcentre philosophy and empowering whānau
- Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to complete
- Confidence using technology to support learning & administration
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Permanent NZ work rights
The Role
The Session Facilitator works alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child‑led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning and positively support the Playcentre education programme.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To- Engage children in playful, stimulating, and imaginative experiences that encourage exploration, problem‑solving, and independence
- Foster strong, responsive relationships with tamariki, recognising their individual strengths, interests, and cultural diversity
- Promote inclusive learning by encouraging communication, expression, and the development of positive learning dispositions
