Job SummaryWorkforce Development Community Arts Education Instructors are hired to teach a variety of community education arts courses as needed. This includes but is not limited to courses such as ceramics, creative writing, dance, jewelry making, language, photography, etc.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate Degree in Arts or related field; 3+ years prior experience with course art medium; and 2+ years teaching experience (or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job).
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree; 5+ years experience with course art medium; and 3+ years adult education teaching experience.
Job Specific Task List- 75% – Facilitate specific arts education instruction and provide students with meaningful feedback on coursework (Essential)
- 25% – Record attendance and prepare individualized lesson plans (Essential)

Hours per Week (if part time)5–10
Equipment RequirementsExpect candidates to provide their own technology equipment. Must have access to broadband internet connection at all times during employment and must have technology enabling synchronous communication such as USB headset, speaker & microphone, captioning services, adaptive technology, assistive devices, etc. If unable to meet requirements, an accommodation can be requested based on documented need and inventory availability.
