Position OverviewWe are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to inspire students in Grades PreK–8. The ideal candidate will cultivate artistic expression while integrating faith, culture, and appreciation for beauty in alignment with Catholic values.
Responsibilities- Teach visual arts to students in Grades K–8
- Develop and implement an engaging, age-appropriate art curriculum
- Introduce a variety of artistic techniques and media (drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, etc.)
- Incorporate art history and cultural appreciation into lessons
- Integrate Catholic themes, liturgical seasons, and religious symbolism into projects
- Display student artwork throughout the school and at special events
- Organize and support school art shows or exhibits
- Maintain art supplies, materials, and classroom organization
- Collaborate with faculty on cross-curricular projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field
- Teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong knowledge of art techniques and classroom management
- Appreciation for and willingness to support the mission of Catholic education
- Experience organizing student art showcases or community events
