Teacher Assistant - Mapleton School

Description

We are looking for a Teacher Assistant to work with children in an educational environment that emphasizes current behavior interventions and PBIS. Join our multi‑disciplinary team with a strengths‑based approach at the Mapleton School in Malvern, PA.

• Ensure student safety.
• Assist in establishing classroom environments that promote maximum learning, maintaining structure and guiding students toward socially appropriate behaviors.
• Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by the Special Education Teacher.

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.

• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 4 pm (52‑week position).
• Compensation: $41,600 – $47,424 annually, based upon experience.
