Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Instructor (part-time)
Johnson College is currently seeking a part-time 285 Computer Numerical Control instructor to teach in-person classes. This 285 hour non-credit certificate CNC training is designed for individuals looking to enter the high-demand machining field. The instructor will be responsible for covering the theory and hands on practice of both conventional and computer numerical control machining fields. In addition to math for machinists, there's emphasis on the use of metals, and the stresses placed upon them will be part of the instruction.
This position will include organizing and delivering class syllabi and objectives in a clear, concise manner; maintaining an organized and safe lab; ensuring training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for use in the classroom and labs; keeping accurate records of student performance and making the timely submission of academic records; and providing students with timely feedback.
Required qualifications generally include a minimum of three years of full-time industry expertise and/or work experience and appropriate education/training credentials. Formal teaching certification is not required. Teaching experience with adults is preferred. A teaching demonstration may be required.
