Job Details

Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt

Responsibilities
  • Build safe, effective, and engaging group exercise class plans for participants at all fitness levels.
  • Connect with participants to build rapport and be their accountability partner.
  • Explain and demonstrate exercises in detail.
  • Provide modifications and progressions for exercises.
  • Explain and educate participants on safe and proper use of gym equipment.
  • Check-in all participants using the Fusion software system prior to the start of every group exercise class.
  • Report attendance after every class into the Group Ex Pro software system.
  • Promote Campus Recreation programs and services.
  • Inform participants on gym policies for safety and hygiene.
  • Meet with Assistant Director as needed.
  • Assist with department-wide programs, staff trainings, etc.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Accredited and current Group Fitness Instructor Certification and CPR/AED certification required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Have the ability to interact with members and provide information about Penn Campus Rec program offerings.

Pay Range

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
