Adjunct instructors are part-time faculty hired to teach a specified course/s on a per-semester basis. The opportunity to continue teaching at the college is assessed every semester, and criteria for re-employment include: attention to administrative deadlines (i.e., setting up course before semester starts, grading student work, tracking attendance), timely and professional communication with students and colleagues, and students' course/instructor evaluations.
Current openings are for morning and afternoon classes running at the Scranton campus (in person).
Essential Functions- AAS degree in Robotics, Electrical, or a related field, including a minimum of 18 credits in any combination of Electrical courses (e.g., PLC, Motor Controls, Robotics, Basic AC/DC theory, etc.) required
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial type environment in the field of Elec, Robotics, Mech, Engineering, etc., preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a corporate or higher education setting preferred, but not necessary.
- Willingness to learn a Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g., Canvas).
