English Language Development Long-Term Substitute Teacher

Lebanon School District is looking for a dedicated English Language Development Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking team.

As our ELD Teacher, you'll help English Learners (ELs) grow their skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. You'll work with students from all walks of life - tailoring your teaching and support to fit their unique backgrounds and needs. You'll also be a resource for other teachers, sharing strategies and tools to help every EL student succeed.

• PA teaching certification with ESOL Program Specialist certificate
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong communication, motivation, and organizational skills
• Comfort using technology in the classroom
• A collaborative spirit - ready to work with staff, students, and families
• Openness to using translation services when needed

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of instructional strategies
• Celebrate cultural diversity and foster an inclusive environment for all learners
• Communicate regularly with families about their child’s progress (with translation support as needed)
• Keep accurate records and maintain all required paperwork
• Share resources and strategies with fellow teachers, especially for newcomers and students with specialized needs
• Offer professional development and classroom support to colleagues
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing learning opportunities
