Compensation: $100K – $150k base + bonus + incentives
Travel: ~50% travel required (between set sites in PA)
OverviewWe’re partnered with a leading manufacturer undergoing a major investment in automation across its operations. While production environments are already highly automated, the next phase is focused on designing and building out automation across the supply chain and warehouse functions.
This is a net-new, high-impact role where you’ll lead the strategy and execution of how raw materials move into production and finished goods move out to distribution. The position offers strong long-term growth, with the opportunity to help build and lead a team as the function scales.
What You’ll Be Doing- Design and optimize end-to-end material flow across warehouse and manufacturing environments
- Lead automation initiatives focused on reducing manual handling (e.g., forklifts) and improving efficiency
- Evaluate, select, and implement automation technologies (conveyors, robotics, material handling systems)
- Own projects from concept through implementation including vendor selection, installation, and commissioning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership teams
- Support Cap Ex planning and execution tied to automation investments
- Contribute to long-term strategy for scaling supply chain automation capabilities
- 5+ years of experience in engineering within manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environments
- Strong background in project engineering / project ownership (end-to-end delivery)
- Experience with warehouse automation, material handling systems, or robotics
- Understanding of supply chain / distribution center operations
- Ability to work with vendors / OEMs and lead implementation efforts
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools (ability to read, interpret, or contribute to layouts)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environments
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments
- Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies
- Prior leadership experience or interest in growing into a team lead role
