Senior Systems Engineer (Tandem Non Stop)

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical solutions in a highly visible, large enterprise environment. You'll combine technical proficiency with strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our infrastructure.

• Maintain and upgrade existing systems to ensure 24x7 uptime on the Non Stop systems including client related connectivity
• Lead Guardian OS, Network, and other major software release planning and implementation
• Assess and implement platform security solutions and configurations
• Apply technical expertise to support the deployment of technology architecture and the total system solutions
• Identify system performance bottlenecks and recommend performance improvement solutions
• Perform analyses, e.g., perform technical research to assess system performance and capacity
• Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for the entire infrastructure
• Perform daily continuous improvements on all Non Stop servers, including off-platform servers such as Splunk, Prognosis, Moogsoft, Service Point, SharePoint and Back Pak servers, their databases, user and data security, etc.

• 6+ years of experience with Guardian OS, Non Stop SQL, and Non Stop hardware platforms
• 5+ years of experience configuring systems within the Non Stop platform from end-to-end
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL, Guardian/OSS, Non Stop Web Services (SOAP), and XML or JSON
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, or work experience

• Experience working with Nonstop Security
• Experience with encryption and key management
• Experience with NS7X technology (X-Series)
• Experience in a large scale enterprise level environment

• This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
• This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
