- Lead technical crews of 2‑8+ specialists through complex transformer installation and maintenance projects.
- Execute comprehensive electrical testing including power factor analysis, winding resistance, and SFRA diagnostics.
- Serve as primary customer liaison and technical advisor during critical field operations.
- Optimize project workflows by strategically assigning tasks based on team strengths and site conditions.
- Manage high‑voltage equipment ranging from distribution transformers to transmission‑level apparatus.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on mission‑critical power infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior technicians while promoting continuous safety excellence across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Associate degree or two‑year technical diploma and a minimum of 10 years of transformer service experience; OR, high school diploma/ GED and a minimum of 12 years of transformer service experience. 3+ years experience supervising transformer service teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transformer field service operations and electrical testing procedures.
- Expertise in transformer installation, vacuum/oil processing, and internal component assembly.
- Valid driver’s license with flexibility to travel up to 85% across the assigned territory.
- Strong technical problem‑solving abilities and leadership experience in field environments.
- Proven track record working safely around high‑voltage electrical equipment.
- Candidate already has work authorization permitting them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
