Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support product development and design initiatives within a leading medical device organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in orthopedic device development, particularly within Spine, Trauma, or CMF product lines, and will play a key role in design execution, documentation, and cross‑functional engineering activities.

• Lead mechanical design and product development activities for medical device products
• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Pro/ENGINEER (Creo)
• Apply GD&T principles to product designs and engineering documentation
• Support design changes, product improvements, and engineering investigations
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and R&D teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Utilize Windchill PLM for document management, change control, and product data management
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and verification activities
• Ensure compliance with medical device design control and quality system requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Experience supporting Spine, Trauma, or CMF product lines
• Product Development and Mechanical Design experience
• Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and application
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills

• Experience with in orthopedic medical device manufacturing
• Knowledge of design controls and medical device regulatory requirements
• Experience supporting product lifecycle management and engineering change processes
• Prior experience in highly regulated medical device environments

The hourly rate/salary for this position is based on experience.
