Job Summary
Manage the reliability and sustainable growth of the gas distribution system by developing and maintaining long‑term plans for system improvement, analyzing the impacts of significant load additions and changes to the distribution system, and managing wintertime customer support activities. This position is on site in Wyomissing, PA, and is not remote.
We are considering candidates from other locations in Pennsylvania, including:
Denver, Lehigh, Middletown, Reading, Wilkes‑Barre.
- Complete system analysis related to significant additions or modifications to the gas distribution system and guide scoping and development of improvement projects.
- Develop long‑term capacity and reliability improvement plans for areas of the distribution system. Coordinate with Area Engineering Design, M&R Engineering Design, and Gas Supply teams to manage distribution system improvement Master Plans.
- Develop and maintain winter customer support / interruption plans to maintain system reliability during cold weather periods.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced use of Synergi application to analyze impacts of changes to hydraulic distribution system and advanced understanding of gas pipeline flow.
- Project leadership skills, training and mentorship skills.
- Long‑term planning skills including scoping, organization of phasing, prioritization, and portfolio management.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Technical writing skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Engineer III:
Four years of work experience in a natural gas engineering position preferred. - Sr Engineer:
Five years of work experience in a natural gas engineering position preferred. - This position may be filled at the Engineer III or Senior Engineer level. The final level will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications as assessed through the interview process.
- EIT / PE preferred.
