As a Steam Generator Technician, you will support Headquarter preparations and field implementation of work on the primary side of the steam generator (SG). This work includes Eddy Current Testing (ECT) of the steam generator tubing, tube repair, and vessel cover closure services performed at customer sites.

You will report to the Manager of Steam Generator Resources and will be based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. You will be expected to be onsite 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate steam generator field service equipment at customer sites, using cleaning processes, NDE technology, robotic systems and computer networks.
• Perform Service Center support responsibilities including service equipment maintenance and check out, equipment and facility decontamination, equipment packing and unpacking, shipment preparation, material handling and calibration activities.
• Perform all assigned tasks under general supervision, with a high degree of quality, and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines.
• Document all quality related issues.
• Participate in performance-based training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology.
• Participate in safety training to acquire the skills to perform work in hazardous environments and operate safety equipment and systems.
• Practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.
• Participation and contribution of observations in the shop. Apply Nuclear Culture Safety requirements.
• This position requires extensive travel (25-50%), maintenance of "Unescorted Access" status, and working with hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or the recognized equivalent (Minimum). Prefer Associates Degree or Bachelor's in electronics or other technical field.
• Non-Destructive test experience desired but not required.
• Specific knowledge and training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical curriculum.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $58,912.77 to $76,603.58 per year.
