Engineering Technician

As an Engineering Technician for a large aerospace and defense contractor, you will provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks, including production support. Your role will involve gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and manipulating technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. You will produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and be involved in the development of testers and tester builds.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to engineers on various technical tasks.
• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
• Participate in the development of testers and tester builds.
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas.
• Conduct preliminary analyses of data in areas like trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency.
• Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
• Use personal computer to perform analyses and develop documentation/reports.
• Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Essential

Skills:

• Associate's Degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or avionics discipline.
• 6+ months of military training/combined experience in the electronics field.
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience in electronic testing
• Ability to read electrical schematics

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Test fixture maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.23/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
