Responsibilities

You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example, follow ALL policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and precise movements.
• Proficiency in entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage and work area.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions outdoors, temperature variations indoors (36°F–90°F+), fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Tasks require good vision, hearing, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Employees may need to walk on ceramic tile with linoleum, stoop, bend, crouch, squat, lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., ingredient deliveries), carry up to 42 pounds (e.g., pizza sauce), push or pull trays on dollies, climb stairs or ladders, reach forward, up and down continuously, and perform frequent hand-eye coordination activities such as manipulating a pizza peel, rolling cutter, and cardboard boxes.
