About the Opportunity
A mission-driven organization in the Greater Philadelphia area is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
- Record daily financial transactions, including income and expenses
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts
- Process invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments
- Manage invoicing and track incoming payments
- Follow up on outstanding balances as needed
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports (income statements, balance sheets)
- Track expenses to support budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Support audit preparation and year-end reporting processes
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and financial regulations
- Assist with documentation for audits, grants, and reporting requirements
- Partner with internal teams to support financial operations
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and administrative tasks as needed

- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

- Exposure to audits, grants, or fund accounting
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
