Tax Accountant – Domestic Preparation (US) and Global Review & Oversight (Non‑US)
Responsibilities- General duties:
Detailed review of work product quality; lead or support assigned tasks, ensuring technical accuracy of all work product; assist Global Tax leadership in strategy. - Prepare, review and coordinate tax planning, research, analysis, including monitoring legislative and accounting developments.
- Conduct tax research, planning, financial analysis and modeling of complex issues influencing effective tax rate, transaction execution, choice of entity, etc.
- Prepare and/or present written memos, analyses or presentations as required.
- Propose and maintain tax policies and procedures.
- Oversee execution against Tax Calendars for compliance and accounting tasks.
- Identify potential improvements to departmental processes.
- Serve as global tax liaison with designated affiliates.
- Assist in the integration of newly acquired or formed entities.
- Maintain open communication lines within and beyond Global Tax.
- Prepare and review corporate tax compliance, including federal and state tax returns and filings.
- Handle complex or nonrecurring tax issues such as R&D credit, S/199A, Form 3115.
- Address tax defense and controversy matters (notices, assessments, audits).
- Calculate dividends and manage shareholder matters.
- Process estimated tax payments and monthly depreciation.
- Prepare and review accounting and financial reporting, including tax provision, financial statement reporting, consolidation, footnotes, and tax account reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Accounting Systems.
- At least 4 years of corporate tax accounting experience.
- Extensive tax experience with US Federal, state, foreign jurisdictions, and tax research.
- Experience reviewing and approving work product of staff personnel.
- Attention to detail, self‑starter, strong work ethic.
- Ability to problem‑solve, multi‑task, and manage/prioritize multiple projects.
- Experience with BNA tax research software or equivalent.
- Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.
- Experience with ERPs, consolidation systems, and data analytics tools.
- Experience with One Stream (plus).
- Experience with CCH Axcess or equivalent tax preparation software.
- Experience preparing and reviewing corporate income tax provision calculations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing corporate federal and state income tax returns.
- CPA license and/or Master’s Degree in Tax or Business Administration is a plus.
