Financial Center Banker

As part of the Branch Banking team, a Financial Center Banker will acquire in-depth knowledge of Northwest products and services to provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship. The Banker connects customers with Northwest products and services, opens accounts, identifies financial needs, and connects customers to other Northwest financial experts while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial assessments for customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze customer accounts, transactions, and behaviors to offer personalized recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide leadership while ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operational activities and financial center security.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service experiences and resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Initiate proactive conversations with customers to build rapport and understand their financial objectives.
  • Build long‑term relationships, offer assistance and guidance proactively.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect customer information.
  • Navigate Microsoft Office and department‑specific software to maximize technology use and efficiency.
  • Work as part of a team, perform daily branch tasks, and handle security and dual‑control processes.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Establish effective working relationships and collaborate with team members to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Use active listening skills to understand others and facilitate open exchange of ideas.
  • Develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress and effectively use resources such as time and information.
  • Make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Work Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year in banking and/or retail (sales and customer service preferred).
