Associate Director, Student Services – Financial Aid and Compliance (Kimura Leonard)

Under the general supervision of the PCOM Chief Student Services Officer, this position plays a pivotal role in the efficient and effective administration of financial aid programs at the college.
Responsibilities- Counseling Duties: Provides financial aid counseling for prospective and enrolled students on all aspects of federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid, including processing of budget appeals, loan advance requests, return of Title
IV funds, Graduate
PLUS processing, verification, resolution of comment codes, awarding outside scholarships, and exit counseling. Offers loan and financial literacy counseling to support students' borrowing decisions and informs them about loan repayment options. Responds promptly and professionally to student inquiries and proactively communicates resolutions. - Program
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the awarding and processing of the federal direct loan program (over $160million annually) and the federal work‑study program (over $1.5million annually). Speaks at interviews, orientation, and open‑house events. Reviews Argos and Banner reports regularly to ensure quality control of financial aid processing. Assists the Chief Student Services Officer with overall administration of federal, state, institutional, and private aid programs.
Supervises two Assistant Directors of Financial Aid to ensure seamless provision of student financial services and superior customer support.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - At least five years of financial aid experience, including two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency with electronic student information systems; experience with Banner preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal financial aid regulations.
- Demonstrated record of exemplary customer service and dedication to counseling students.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
Starting Salary: $65,000 annually.
