What you will do
- Use accounting skills to price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings, perform reconciliations related to Net Asset Values, and provide accounting reports. Communicate fund transactions and work closely with internal and external clients to deliver accurate accounting packages.
- Act as the record keeper for the fund, coordinating and supporting year‑end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP. Perform due diligence to ensure clients comply with government laws and regulations.
- Correspond with external investment managers on day‑to‑day inquiries such as fee payments, cash position breaks, and reconciliations. Client engagement and dedication to quality service are essential.
- Participate in IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify process improvements, partner with a diverse team, and grow your career.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
- Internship experience preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Self‑motivation and drive to manage multiple client deliverables while maintaining excellence and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, primarily supporting clients via email and phone.
- Strong customer service skills, communicating daily with internal and external clients.
- A drive to broaden knowledge of the financial services industry and apply new concepts and systems to daily work.
- Collaboration with stakeholders and flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
- Positivity, a collegial approach, and teamwork.
