Job Overview – Assistant Controller (Financial Reporting)
Compensation: $175,000 – $190,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring an Assistant Controller (Financial Reporting) in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting global financial reporting, consolidation, and FP&A initiatives within a complex, multi-entity environment. In this role, you will lead GAAP reporting, oversee consolidation processes, and drive financial analytics and performance insights across international operations. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams while leveraging systems such as Power BI, One Stream, and ERP platforms to enhance reporting accuracy, automation, and decision-making.
Responsibilitiesas the Assistant Controller (Financial Reporting)
- Financial Reporting & GAAP Compliance: Oversee GAAP financial reporting, including audited financial statements, quarterly reporting, and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Consolidation & Global Reporting: Lead consolidation processes and financial analysis across multiple international entities and regions.
- FP&A & Business Insights: Drive forecasting, business reviews, and ad hoc financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Systems & Process Optimization: Lead financial systems enhancements and automation initiatives, leveraging tools such as Power BI and One Stream.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and monitor internal control frameworks, including SOX processes and reporting governance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, and an MBA is preferred.
- Certification: Active CPA or CA is required.
- Experience: 10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience within a global or multi-entity environment, with manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong expertise in GAAP financial reporting, consolidation, foreign currency reporting, and global financial operations is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems is required, and experience with consolidation tools such as One Stream or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills with the ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and operate effectively in a matrixed global organization.
