THE POSITION
Fayette County Behavioral Health Administration has an immediate need to fill a County Caseworker 1 position. Our mission is to enrich lives by providing choice and access to resources that encourage hope, independence, and recovery. DESCRIPTION OF WORK- Identify an individual’s support needs and preferences through development of an Individualized Service Plan (ISP)
- Locate options for services that meet the needs of individuals including, but not limited to, traditional providers, community and natural supports
- Facilitate a person-centered planning process
- Ensure services are received as outlined in the ISP
- Ensure the health and safety of those supported
- Promote individuality, choice and control in customer’s lives
- Provide quality supports and information through monitoring of the health and safety of people receiving supports and services
- Link customers to services, resources, and benefits
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.

- Minimum of two years as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college‑level coursework including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; OR
- A bachelor’s degree including or supplemented by 12 college credits in the same subject areas; OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 12 college credits in the same subject areas and one year as a County Social Services Aide 3 or similar paraprofessional case‑management role.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree or credits.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license that is not suspended.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including state police clearance, child abuse history clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
