Grant Manager A/B
Primary purpose of this role is to support the research activities of the Division of Hematology Oncology in the Department of Medicine. The Grants Manager will manage complex grants—including clinical research grants and program project grants with multiple sub‑contracts—from pre‑award through post‑award. Responsibilities include proposal development, budget development, regulatory compliance, financial monitoring, and partnership with Principal Investigators and other university units.
Responsibilities- Manage pre‑ and post‑award activities for various PIs, including RPPRs.
- Review funding opportunities and prepare proposal checklists and budgets; assist investigators in proposal development.
- Participate in the annual budget process and monthly financial analysis for sponsored programs, gifts, endowments, and chair commitments.
- Monthly reconciliation of grant expenditures for compliance; recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure accurate effort allocation for PIs and research staff; coordinate with the Business Administrator for payroll mapping.
- Process salary reallocation and handle subcontracts and RIS agreements.
- Complete monthly budget and expense journal entries; reconcile fiscal year activity, including suspense accounts and anticipated resources.
- Provide training and mentorship to Grants Managers and serve as a resource for day‑to‑day financial operations.
- Authorize purchasing and accounts payable transactions, including travel; ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures to ensure uniform reporting and compliance with university, school, and sponsor guidelines.
- Report known or suspected irregularities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required for Grants Manager

B. - Experience with grant management, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay Range$64,500.00 - $89,000.00 Annual Rate
