Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient advocacy strategies and engagement plans for therapeutic areas
  • Build and manage relationships with Patient Advocacy Organizations (PAOs) and engage with patients at events
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to inform local market engagement and identify advocacy opportunities
  • Represent the employer at events and conferences to educate and engage with patients
  • Manage internal operations related to patient advocacy, ensuring compliance and budget alignment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry or related experience
  • Proven capability in implementing innovative programs within rare disease communities
  • Experience with setting and maintaining advocacy strategies for therapeutic areas
  • Proficiency in Veeva and experience with rare disease patient interactions and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with minority and underserved patient communities
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and effective presentation abilities
  • Passion for championing the needs of individuals living with rare diseases
