DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the administrative management of psychological services at Danville State Hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, strategize, and coordinate the comprehensive psychology program within the facility. This entails not only the development and implementation of psychological services but also the supervision of the staff involved in these services, ensuring that both general and direct oversight is effectively maintained.

Your role will be crucial in fostering a collaborative environment that promotes the highest standards of psychological care, while also addressing the diverse needs of the hospital's patient population.

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
:

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
• Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual disability, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Special Requirements
:

• Possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. [Pennsylvania licensure must be obtained within one year of employment]

Other Requirements
:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
• Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
