SUMMARY

This position works directly with mental health consumers by assisting persons with functional disabilities resulting from mental illness to develop, enhance, and/or retain psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment, and/or independent living skills. May perform supervisory functions as delegated by the director. Discussing approaches to assist individuals in goal attainment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree and 2 years' work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be work experience in psychiatric rehabilitation services.
  • Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position, OR
  • An associate degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service, OR
  • A CPS Certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service.
  • A high school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience.
