Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echo cardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.

• Performs and processes echo cardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedure & exercise techniques.
• Performs emergency procedures when necessary and transports equipment and patients.
• Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
• Analyzes and files echo cardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
• Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and provides technical instruction of echo cardiographic techniques.
• Assists in approved research activities.
• Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
• Interprets and follows policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.
• Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
• Accountable for satisfying all job‑specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.

Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required).

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

• Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body).
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire (Default Issuing Body).
• Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer required within 6 months of hire (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography [ARDMS]).
