The Neuroscience Institute is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our growing Neurosurgery Department located at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Job DutiesThe neurosurgery NP or PA will join a dedicated team of providers at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center covering all areas of neurosurgery. This role involves outpatient clinic, inpatient/consult coverage, and OR coverage.

The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program and be eligible or certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and the State Board of Medicine. The successful Nurse Practitioner must hold a certificate from an approved program and be eligible or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. An acute care certification is required.
Must be certified to work with all patient population age groups.
- Education: Master's Degree – Physician Assistant (Required)
- Licensure & Certification: Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Additional state board certifications as required. Acute care certification required. Must be eligible for all patient population age groups.
