About the Role
Simulation Adjunct Instructor reporting to the Manager of Clinical Simulation, will work on a per‑diem basis at the discretion of Site Managers across the three campuses. Responsibilities include instruction of clinical skills, running of simulations, debriefing, and teaching AHA courses.
Responsibilities- Provide lab instruction of clinical skills such as intubation, IV access, central line placement, suturing, etc. (must be within scope of practice)
- Operate mannequins and run pre‑programmed scenarios with faculty instructors, ensuring all equipment is set up for course programs
- Assist in or conduct debriefing of simulations using PCOM‑approved debriefing models
- Teach various AHA courses
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year experience in medical simulation
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience as a healthcare provider (paramedic, nurse, or higher)
- Computer experience required
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Field preferred, Master’s Degree in Medical Simulation preferred)
- Professional Certification or License in healthcare related field (required)
- Licensed Healthcare provider in the state of Pennsylvania or Georgia (required)
- AHA – ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Provider (preferred), Instructor (preferred)
- AHA – BLS – Basic Life Support – Provider (required), Instructor (preferred)
- AHA – PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
- CHSE – Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (preferred)
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, and responsibilities of the role.
