Position: Occupational Therapist (OTR-L)

Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)

Valley Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our rehabilitation team.

For more than 50 years, Valley Manor has served the local community by providing high-quality post-acute care, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term care services. Our interdisciplinary team works together to help each resident achieve the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, strength, and independence

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, adaptive techniques, and equipment use

  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences

  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other members of the care team

  • Ensure services are provided in accordance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications
  • Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program

  • Current NBCOT certification

  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred

  • Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

  • Compassionate and committed to helping residents improve their independence and quality of life
