Description
Tri-Century Eye Care is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support our fast-paced ophthalmology practice. If you’re passionate about helping patients, thrive in a busy front-desk environment, and enjoy being the first point of contact in a medical office, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in healthcare.
What You'll Do- Welcome patients, check them in, and ensure a smooth and friendly experience
- Answer phones, complete tasks and assist patient in the call center
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments
- Handle billing questions and assist with financial inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
- Serve as a communication hub between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve patient concerns
- Complete administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and document management
- Support daily office operations to keep patient flow running efficiently
- Starting at $19/hour, based on experience

- 1+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or customer service
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with basic office software
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology is a plus
- Experience with insurance verification or medical billing preferred
- Prior ophthalmology experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate
- Mix of desk-based work and active patient interaction
- Must adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality
- Reliable transportation is necessary
