Standardized Patient Educator
Trains standardized patients to participate in the education of medical students and health professionals by portraying cases accurately and supports the teaching, assessment and evaluation of the curriculum as defined by the faculty. Conducts quality assurance of standardized patients and updates and enters data into the EMS system.
This role involves multiple responsibilities and requires successful interaction with faculty, staff, and standardized patients.
Responsibilities- Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff in alignment with Jefferson values.
- Train standardized patients.
- Maintain a database of evaluation cases.
- Assist with case modification.
- Ensure standardized patients have the most current training material.
- Assist in ensuring the reliability and validity of cases and checklist items assessing clinical skills.
- Ensure confidentiality of all case materials.
- Ensure exam rooms are appropriately arranged.
- Ensure medical equipment is available and functioning.
- Update and enter data into the EMS system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
