Residential Services Aide - Selinsgrove Center (1st and 2nd Shift

Overview

The Residential Services Aide role at the Selinsgrove Center gives you the chance to support individuals as they build important life skills and greater independence. This position lets you make a direct difference each day while working as part of a caring team. You will help create a safe, positive environment where growth and progress are encouraged.

• Plan Support: Assist in completing assessments and information used to develop each individual plan
• Deliver Training: Carry out assigned procedures and training activities that support active treatment
• Record Information: Document observations and progress to help update individual plans
• Team Communication: Share information with team members to support coordinated services
• Environment Support: Help maintain a positive setting by assisting with personal items and activity choices
• Role Modeling: Demonstrate respectful behavior that supports dignity and individual rights

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are available on the following shifts, with rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off:
  • 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (1st shift), with a 30-minute lunch
  • 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (2nd shift), with a 30-minute lunch
• Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,521.00 (before taxes).

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
