We are searching for the next Patient Access Supervisor Champion. The Patient Access Supervisor organizes and coordinates the activities of assigned staff to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate work in a fiscally responsible manner. The role involves handling and solving problems related to the area of assignment, maintaining a working knowledge of functions in responsibility, and working with the Patient Access Manager to develop and coach staff, creating optimal performance.
The Supervisor conducts orientation and training of all Patient Access staff, performs Revenue Cycle tasks necessary to ensure compliance and excellent customer service, and assists with day‑to‑day operations.
This position is an on‑site role, and candidates must be able to work on‑site at Tower - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
This position pays between $47,400 - $59,250/yr based on experience.
Job Responsibilities- Coordinate all registration duties with direct and indirect reporting employees, ensuring registration and pre‑registration duties are completed daily.
- Provide and review reporting to track department performance in key metrics, including point of service, wait times, overtime, productivity, and others as necessary.
- Assign and coordinate staff schedule, including scheduling rotation, time off, and call‑offs as necessary.
- Responsible for upfront collection process tracking and monitoring; assign goals and provide coaching and corrective action as appropriate.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation which includes days, nights, and weekends as necessary and may provide administrative and educational guidance to staff via telephone.
- Assist with developing department processes and procedures; conduct staff training, education, and development.
- Conduct audits to ensure acceptable performance and provide continual coaching and education as necessary.
- Act as a resource person for staff and ancillary departments, embracing standards of behavior to promote excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
- Manage assigned projects related to implementing, tracking, and process changes; report to Patient Access Leadership routinely for monitoring.
- Participate in daily facility activities as assigned by Patient Access Leadership and gather statistical information of assigned duties.
- Assist with staff evaluations and maintain time/attendance system.
- Attend facility meetings as required/needed by department and/or client to ensure process alignment and effective communication between the clinical team and our team.
