Our Children and Young People’s CAMHS Eating Disorder Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Mental Health Practitioner to work with children and young people with eating disorders, and their families. We are a specialist multi-disciplinary eating disorders service for young people and their families, providing evidence-based treatment approaches in clinics across the Trust. We are a compassionate, supportive team, committed to empowering young people and their families so that they can keep well in the community.

The CAMHS Eating Disorders Service is a well-established service, working alongside staff in our CPFT Community CAMHS teams and working closely with our local day programme and local acute paediatric services.

We are seeking to appoint a CAMHS Practitioner with a strong interest in working with young people with eating disorders and their families and a commitment to delivering specialist assessments and manualised interventions such as family therapy for eating disorders and CBT-E.

The postholder will work in clinics settings and as part of our home support pathway.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence
* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.

This post gives the opportunity to develop skills in this area, working within an experienced team. The post-holder will be offered the opportunity for training in family therapy for eating disorders and continued professional development.

Our service has a strong commitment to professional development through individual supervision, training, appraisal and an ethos of close multi-disciplinary working.

The post is a permanent role and full-time hours. We will also consider part time hours. The applicant will need to be able to travel to sites across the county.
