Job DescriptionJob Summary
The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.
Key Responsibilities- Obtains physician’s order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.
- Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time.
- Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time.
- Able to set up and perform EKGs on patients in a timely fashion.
- Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation
- RT license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Associate Respiratory Therapy
- 3 Years Respiratory care practitioner
- 1 Year Pediatric Critical Care
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
The pay range for this position is $32.15 - $48.24. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
