Consider this Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections position with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (PA DOC). As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections with our Psychology Department at SCI Frackville, you will be responsible for the overall administration of the institution’s psychological services program and directly shape program operations.
This position oversees psychological services that support inmate treatment, safety, and adjustment to daily living, social interaction, and work in a correctional setting. Responsibilities focus on supervising a psychological staff, evaluating services’ effectiveness, and ensuring operations comply with required policies and standards. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:
- Professional Staff Supervision: Direct, oversee, evaluate, and participate in clinical services provided by a masters-level psychological services staff
- Program Development: Create, manage, and implement new and revised psychological services programs including counseling programs to support inmates’ adjustment and treatment
- Administrative Management: Develop and integrate PA DOC policies and procedures; lead key institutional committees related to mental health and crisis response
- Clinical Standards Compliance: Set competencies and privileges of specialist and associate staff; ensure all work aligns with accreditation standards for the provision of psychological services
- Consultation Services: Provide professional advice and guidance to help the program development and staff training of the institution’s teams support effective treatment for mental health issues
- Expert Reporting: Review and interpret preliminary, comprehensive, and diagnostic psychological tests; update medical profiles; and testify as an expert witness when needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

- One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
