Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position inthe non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required inthe specific area of autism spectrum disorder in the transition toadulthood age period and a focus on the measurement and treatment of co-occurring Depression. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Teaching responsibilities may include supervising behavioral healthtrainees (including psychology externs, interns, and fellows) in clinical practice and research; giving lectures to trainees in psychology, psychiatry, neurology, and pediatrics.

Clinical responsibilities may include assessment, intervention, and consultation services to patients in outpatient settings within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, with a focus on patients presenting with concerns relatedto autism spectrum disorder and/or other neurodevelopmentalconditions during the transition to adulthood age range (14 to 25years).

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include contributing to the growth of impactful and transformative research in pediatrichealth and equity, including a focus on autism spectrum disorder,co-occurring depression, psychometrics of mental health assessment tools, and community engaged science; data analysis usingqualitative and advanced multivariate quantitative methods;manuscript preparation and dissemination of research findings.

We are seeking applicants with training and experience working in clinical and research settings with autistic/neurodivergentadolescents and young adults and their families, with experience in supporting mental health to autistic adolescents and young adultstransitioning to adulthood. The role involves providing comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations, transition toadulthood evaluations, interventions supporting mental health and patient-centered outcomes for transition-to-adulthood aged autisticpeople, and active involvement in mental health research initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leadingmental health science and community engaged research initiatives.
